Trying is always good!

While reading the blogs and moving from a blog to another looking for interesting things to read, I came across a blog that grabbed my attention. I found it amazing or at least, gave me the impression that the blogger is someone without "dead" brain cells. To be precise, the post that I loved was about her experience with job hunting in Kuwait and how much she suffered. So I emailed her, telling her I really liked her blog and that I wanted to add her to my BlogRoll..She replied back and told me to add her to her msn.
Anyways, in that particular post, she was talking about how hard it is to find a job in Kuwait, although she's a fresh Kuwaiti graduate. She also talked about how non-hijabis are not accepted in Islamic banks and other stuff as well. It reminded me in summer 2005 when I applied for an internship in Kuwait Finance House in Bahrain. I was rejected because I wasn't covering my hair with a scarf. How sick does that sound? They said they would've taken me if I was mit7ajbah... I'm not against the 7ijab idea or anything.. sooner or later, i will wear it just like any other girl, but its totally my decision when to wear it.
It also reminded me in how much female Chemical Engineering graduates suffer in Bahrain. They never get jobs in their field because they're women even if they don't mind working in a rough environment. It's as simple as that.
Another point in how fucked up the GCC society is when it comes to mixing culture with Islam. Quite alot of people in Bahrain do that and its getting disgusting. Bahraini bloggers, please don't deny that ALOT of people do that. Thank god my family aren't people with dead brain cells, but yeah, many are. For example, you see a father drinking and pimping and when he goes home, he forces his daughter/wife to wear Hijab and all.. What's his excuse? "Islam says women have to cover their hair with a scarf at the age of 9." He might be right but he's not even religious enough to use such excuses. Was drinking ever halal in Islam?
Things like that make people so retarded. I hope our society changes one day, if not for us, for the next generations...
No3ik, you go girl ;) !

Plans of the week

Plans for this week:

- Re-adjust my f**ked up biological clock.
- Study for the Information Management test on Thursday.
- Try not to miss any classes (sadly, in my dreams).
- Help Fred & Looney(?) with the flat hunting thing. I love this process.
- Print some photographs of my family. I miss them badly
- Stop drinking coke and replace it with water. I think i'm the only person on earth who hates water. This is BAD.
- Accept the fact that i'm allergic to 9an6ara :( I love it.
- Hate BT for the rest of my life :) - not counted as a plan though...

I'm too lazy to use my brain now. It's 5am.
Might update later on.

Thank you sooo much for everything you've done, v12 and Qalaqimicious.. I can't live without you two. <3 u loads! And thanx to all those who called or texted =)

There's only so much you can learn in one place
The more that I wait, the more time that I waste
I havn't got much time to waste
It's time to make my way
I'm not afraid of what I'll face
But I'm afraid to stay
I'm going down my road and I can make it alone
I'll work and I'll fight till I find a place of my own
[Chorus]
Are you ready to jump?
Get ready to jump
Don't ever look back oh baby
Yes, I'm ready to jump
Just take my hand
Get ready to jump!

Jump - Madonna .. in the background(8)

I wonder what the future holds =)

Peace y'all

Turning 21 this Thursday :)

Yippeeee! I'm turning twenty-one on the 9th of November. I now have the right to VOTE! Feels good :) :) www.vote4bahrain.com check this out.

For some reason, I downloaded "Get the party started - Pink". Reminds me in the Dusty Dayyyyyys..... "Ayaam el tanjarah"

Those who are 21 or over.. How did it feel like when you turned twenty-one?
By the way, I think someone killed the lady in flat 5. I don't hear anything mn her flat and no-one visits her at all. She might be away on holiday or something? Although I hate her, I hope she's not dead :(

Mahmood AlYousif - Congratulations! They finally unblocked your blog. I'm so happy :)
Lulu - Sleeping pills might work this time. Although i'm against using sleeping pills, i think i'm better off getting them. I know mama is going to kill me if she finds out lol =)

Will try to sleep now.
Nightie Night everyone
